How to wash and care for your fabric

Washing and drying instructions to keep minky soft.

Minky and Snuggles™ are easy to care for as long as you keep heat away from the fibers. Heat is the one thing that damages them.

Washing

  • Cold water only. Heat can melt the fibers together and the fabric loses its softness.

  • Wash separately, especially for the first few washes, to prevent lint transfer and keep colors vibrant.

  • Regular liquid or powder detergent. Avoid detergent pods.

  • No fabric softener. It coats the fibers, reduces breathability, and changes the feel.

Drying

  • Air dry — lay flat or hang.

  • If you must use a dryer, use the air-only / no-heat cycle. High heat can shrink or distort the fabric.

Avoid

  • No bleach.

  • Do not iron directly on the fabric.

  • No dry cleaning unless a finished garment's tag specifically allows it.

Whites and lights: mixing colors with whites risks color transfer — wash light shades separately.

Follow these and your minky will stay soft and plush for years.
