Minky and Snuggles™ are easy to care for as long as you keep heat away from the fibers. Heat is the one thing that damages them.
Washing
Cold water only. Heat can melt the fibers together and the fabric loses its softness.
Wash separately, especially for the first few washes, to prevent lint transfer and keep colors vibrant.
Regular liquid or powder detergent. Avoid detergent pods.
No fabric softener. It coats the fibers, reduces breathability, and changes the feel.
Drying
Air dry — lay flat or hang.
If you must use a dryer, use the air-only / no-heat cycle. High heat can shrink or distort the fabric.
Avoid
No bleach.
Do not iron directly on the fabric.
No dry cleaning unless a finished garment's tag specifically allows it.
Whites and lights: mixing colors with whites risks color transfer — wash light shades separately.
Follow these and your minky will stay soft and plush for years.
